Sentencing Delayed for Former Teacher in Sex Assault Case

Jan 18, 2016 | 1:35 PM

LETHBRIDGE: The sentencing of Jamey Brian Kristian won’t be going ahead next week as planned.

The former Raymond elementary school teacher pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, child pornography, and voyeurism last September.

He was first charged in January of 2014, after one of his victim’s told his mother what had happened and they went to police. That led to additional charges involving two more boys, and police discovered that Kristian had also taken photos and videos of young boys in local change rooms.

While sentencing had been set for January 25, it was revealed Monday morning that a psychological report for Kristian hasn’t been completed yet and that more time is needed.
