Jan 21, 2016 | 12:05 PM

The Alberta Commerical Vehicle Enforcement has issued a $25,000 fine to a driver who carried an overweight load over the Oldman Bridge on Highway 22.

The CVE was partnering with Alberta Transportation to monitor the bridge as it is currently under repair.

Construction signs are said to have been put up with the restriction of 10 tonnes a vehicle – but the fined driver is said to have been 37 thousand kilograms over the limit.

Alberta CVE encourages drivers carrying heavy loads to plan routes before travelling.
