Bear Spray Deployed at Local Nightclub

LETHBRIDGE – Police have charged a 30-year-old man after an incident involving bear spray at a local nightclub.

Police were called to the Sound Garden just before 1:30 a.m on Sunday.

Witnesses reported that a man deployed bear spray inside the establishment then left the bar.

A patron followed him outside and directed him to put down the spray, at which time the suspect sprayed him in the face, threatened him, then fled on foot.

Police were able to arrest a suspect a short distance away.

Tyler Curtis Lee Davis of Lethbridge will appear in court on February 9th where he will be facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, uttering threats and breach of a recognizance.
