LETHBRIDGE: A number of local business have come together to promote Family Month in Lethbridge.

Through a number of initiatives the Movie Mill, Two Guys and A Pizza Place, Bert and Mac’s and Gas King will raise money for Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) throughout February.

Melody Garner with LFS talks about the importance of Family Month, “This is our chance to really encourage the community in southern Alberta as a whole to take that time, spend time with your family, have that dinner with them, find out how your kids are doing in school, find out if there’s any challenges or issues they’re facing, so that you can start having that conversation around how you as a family can work together.”

To cap off the month, Lethbridge Family Services will be holding the Generations Gala on March 18, with support from Stringam LLP.

“There’s going to be a medieval feast, there’s going to be a family dance, there is going to be a king’s court,” explained Garner. “It is just going to be a fantastic event and we are so thankful to have Stringam LLP onboard to help us bring this to southern Alberta.”

Tickets are $40 and include admission for one adult and one child. They are available at www.lfsfamily.ca, by searching for Generations Gala on www.eventbrite.ca or at any Lethbridge Family Services location in Lethbridge.
