CRANBROOK: The Lethbridge Hurricanes were upset by the struggling Kootenay ICE in a 2-0 final Saturday night.

The ICE carried a 10 game losing streak into the match but the Hurricanes had all 31 shots turned aside by opposing goalie Wyatt Hoflin.

Lethbridge steamrolled the ICE during their last meeting that saw the Canes arrivce at a 7-1 victory on Jan.9th.

There are just two points seperating the Eastern Conference’s first place Hurricanes and the ready and willing Brandon Wheat Kings who have won three straight and seven of their last ten.

The Memorial Cup hosting Red Deer Rebels are also just a point behind Brandon sitting some-what comfortably in third place.

The Hurricanes now have just one win in their last five outings.

They host the Saskatoon Blades Wednesday.
