Goat Industry Gets Funding From Federal Government

The federal government is investing up to $255,000 to help the goat industry prepare for mandatory national identification and traceability requirements.
This investment is being made under the Growing Forward 2 AgriMarketing Program.
The funding will help the Canadian National Goat Federation to put in place the necessary components for goat producers for when traceability regulations come into effect.
There are approximately 225,000 goats in Canada on 6,000 farms.
