Lethbridge Hurricanes Post 3-2 Loss in Prince Albert

LETHBRIDGE:     The Raiders were first on the scoreboard in Prince Albert Saturday night and held the lead throughout the game, which ended in a 3-2 loss for Lethbridge.

Prince Albert players Brendan Guhle and Parker Kelly posted back-to-back goals 30 seconds apart, at 3:25 and 4:05 of the first period, to set the Raiders lead at 2-0.

Hurricane Cory Millette found the net on a power play at 9:42, assisted by Kord Pankewicz and Jordy Bellerive, to make it a 2-1 game to end the first frame.

PA’s Reid Gardiner racked up the lone goal in the second period, on a power play, to create a 3-1 lead.

The third period saw Hurricane Ryley Lindgren take advantage of a power play, assisted by Tyler Wong and Giorgio Estephan, for the final goal of the game.

The Hurricanes outshot the Raiders 33-30, with net minder Jaden Sittler taking the loss.

Lethbridge moves down to second place in the Eastern Conference with 88 points, behind Brandon (90). The Canes are in 4th in the WHL standings, behind Victorian (94), Kelowna (91) and Brandon.

The next Hurricane game is Tuesday night in Cranbrook, hosted by the Kootenay Ice.
