LETHBRIDGE:   It came down to the same score as Friday night – but, a reversal of fortune for the Lethbridge Hurricanes, as the Red Deer Rebels came out on top 6-1 on home ice.

The Rebels out-shot the Canes 29-26, in a penalty filled game that saw Red Deer rack up 38 minutes for 12 infractions, including a 10 minute misconduct for Colton Bobyk, who made three trips to the penalty box, while Lethbridge tallied 20 penalty minutes for seven infractions.

The Rebels had the only goal in the first frame, which saw the home team log more infractions (9) than shots on goal (8) for the period.

Red Deer owned the second period, as the team found the net five times in succession before the Canes got on the board with their lone goal, thanks to Tyler Wong, assisted by Brayden Burke and Giorgio Estephan.

Jayden Sittler logged 52 minutes in goal for the Canes, allowing all six goals, with Stuart Skinner picking up the other 8 minutes.

As with the previous night, the game was scoreless in the third and the home team claimed all three Stars.

Lethbridge remains second in the Eastern Conference, behind Brandon, and sits fourth in the WHL standings.

The Canes have only three games remaining in the regular season, and will host Edmonton at the Enmax Sunday evening at 6:00.
