Alberta Flu Season Has Claimed 38 Lives So Far

CALGARY – Two children are among the latest fatalities from the winter flu season in Alberta.

Health officials say the Calgary-area children are among 11 people who have died from influenza in the last week.

Two children in Edmonton died from the flu earlier in the season.

Influenza has claimed 38 lives across the province so far this year.

Officials say of those, only one person had been fully immunized, while another had received just one of two required doses.
