Children’s Festival to Attract Nearly 10,000 Participants

LETHBRIDGE – Exhibition Park announced its line up for the 2016 Children’s Festival.

The event is set for Saturday, April 16, with fun activities like the Safety City Bike Rodeo, face painting, a petting zoo and much more.

There’s also a trade show, featuring well over 50 local vendors, for parents while the kids play.

Some familiar faces like Spongebob, Dora the Explorer and Lavender from the Little Charmers will also be having fun on the Entertainment Stage this year.

“What we like about our show, is the public that comes can actually get close to [the characters]. If you go to a bigger venue in other cities, it’s the show and that’s it. You don’t get to go backstage, or you don’t get to meet [them]. It’s quite a highlight for a lot of the young people,” said Exhibition Park Marketing Manager, Doug Kryzanowski.

Tickets will only be available at the gate on the day of the event, and parking is free.
