Memorial Cup Trophy Coming to Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE – Hockey fans will get a chance for an up-close look and photos with the MasterCard Memorial Cup, ahead of the Lethbridge Hurricanes launching their 2016 WHL playoff run.

The Memorial Cup will be available during the Tailgate Party that will run from 5:00-pm to 6:00-pm outside the ENMAX Centre on Friday, and again in the Canadian Western Bank Lounge during the first and second intermissions.

Before puck drop, the Hurricanes will also hold a ceremony that will feature the trophy.

This year’s Memorial Cup Championship tournament will be hosted by Red Deer from May 19 to 29, marking the first time since 1974 that the tournament will be held in Alberta.

The Hurricanes host games one and two on Friday and Saturday, both at 7:00-pm, in their best of seven series with the Regina Pats. Tickets are available by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
