$1.5-Million Call for Proposals for Cattle Research Projects

ALBERTA – The Alberta Beef Producers and the Alberta Livestock and Marketing Agency are taking applications of research and development projects that address targeted industry priorities.
The purpose of the $1.5 million targeted call for proposals is to focus on antimicrobial use and resistance research priority areas benefiting Alberta’s cattle producers.
Research proposals will be evaluated on their likelihood to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Alberta’s cattle producers over the short and long term.
Projects can be between one and three years in duration, with all projects being completed by the end of September 2019. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2016.
