Hurricanes Goaltender Heading to Under-18 Pre-Competition Camp

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Hurricanes goaltender Stuart Skinner will be taking part in Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team pre-competition camp in Winnipeg.

Skinner is one of three goaltenders, and the only one from the WHL, who was invited to the camp in preparation for the 2016 IIHF World Championship.

Skinner had a career year in the 2015-2016 season for the Hurricanes. He appeared in 44 games posting a 27-10-1-0 record with a 2.74 goals against average and a 0.920 save percentage with three shutouts.

Skinner also became the first Hurricanes’ netminder and only the seventh in WHL history to score a goal while adding two assists. He finished fourth in the WHL in save percentage.
