Traffic Lights at Broxburn and Highway 3 Delayed Until Summer

LETHBRIDGE – A new timeline is in place to have the traffic lights operational at the intersection of Highway 3 and the Broxburn Road.

They were originally set to come online by the end of December, but that deadline came and went with the lights just flashing.

“The problem now is the lights don’t connect to the CP crossing arm signal,” explained Lethbridge County Reeve Lorne Hickey. “It won’t be until June, or a little later than that, before they can install the new parts to operate both the lights and the arms at the same time.

“For now, they’re supposed to bag the lights and turn them out so they’re not flashing anymore. As soon as CP and Alberta Transportation and the contractor all get everything done, we’ll be swinging them back out.”
