Apr 8, 2016 | 3:18 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge MP Rachael Harder has been named the Official Opposition’s Deputy Critic for Health.

She already serves as the Critic for Persons with Disabilities and for Youth, after being elected to Parliament last October.

“I am excited to undertake this role of Deputy Critic for Health,” Harder stated in a media release. “As an associate member of the Special Joint Standing Committee on Physician Assisted Dying and as the Critic for Persons with Disabilities I know the direct impact the health file has on Canadian’s lives. As the Official Opposition, people trust us with their personal stories in order to highlight how the Government’s actions affect them. I take this responsibility seriously and will do my best to continue to ensure that Canadians have a strong voice in Ottawa on this important file.”

In her role as Deputy Critic, Harder will support Health Critic Doctor Colin Carrie.
