PINCHER CREEK – Four Pincher Creek residents face a string of charges following a drug search warrant at a hotel on Thursday April 7, 2016.

Over three ounces of suspected crack cocaine, small quantities of what is believed to be methamphetamine and heroin and several pills were seized by Pincher Creek RCMP. All of the drugs will be sent to a lab to confirm what they are.

The four involved now face eight counts respectively, among other charges.

David Bradley Priest, 54, was brought up on one charge of producing a controlled substance, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled drug and four counts of unlawful possession of a controlled drug.

Meranda White, 33, and Kathryn Chapin, 30, face the same list of charges, with White facing an additional count of driving while unauthorized, and Chapin with one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Natalie Ann Newton, 46, now faces four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled drug and four counts of unlawful possession of a controlled drug.

All four were charged and released on numerous conditions. Their first appearance date in Pincher Creek Provincial Court will be within the next several weeks.

The quantity of hard drugs came as a huge concern for Emergency Services in Pincher Creek and surrounding communities, saying anyone using them has a huge impact on the entire community, families and Emergency responders having to tend to problems that come with illegal drug use.
