Lethbridge and Area Scoop Up Top STARS Lottery Prizes
ALBERTA – STARS Air Ambulance released the winners of its 23rd annual Alberta lottery, and Lethbridge and surrounding area had a slew of big winners.
Ed and Marlene Grinnell of Lethbridge nabbed the Edmonton showhome worth $975,000, Peter and Olive Huvenaars of Taber won the $945,000 Sylvan Lake home and Norm and Carolyn Bonnett, also from Lethbridge, walked away with the more than $141,000 “home-away-from-home” truck and trailer package.
All grand prize winners were notified by STARS CEO, Andrea Robertson, on Thursday, April 14. The Grinnells said they’ve been buying tickets for a decade now after their son, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries, had to be airlifted by STARS.
Other grand prize winners included David Woods from Calgary who won the top prize of the $1.4-million show home in Calgary, and Jamie Edmondson, from Calgary as well, took the Lethbridge home worth $825,000.
