Bow Island RCMP Constable Facing Charges After Alleged Sexual Assault

BOW ISLAND – A Bow Island RCMP Constable is facing multiple charges following a public complaint regarding his conduct during a traffic stop.

A complaint was received by RCMP on February 16, 2015 that Constable Elliott Teed allegedly touched the complainant in a sexual way while conducting a physical search of her person on February 12, 2015.

On April 18, he was charged with one count of Sexual Assault and two counts of Breach of Trust.

Constable Teed has been suspended from duty since June 2015. The suspension is standard RCMP practice, and he will remain off duty until the criminal charges against him have been resolved.
