Lethbridge Housing Starts Dip in April

LETHBRIDGE – There was a decline in multi-family housing starts in April, causing the overall year-to-date figures to fall behind.

There were a total of 58 housing starts in Lethbridge last month, which is way behind the 92 starts that were registered in April 2015. Only 10 multi-family units were started last month, which is well below the 50 multi-family units started last April.

At this point in 2015, there had been 245 housing starts in total in Lethbridge, compared to 212 so far this year.

The Medicine Hat region is also seeing a decline in housing starts. There have been 45 housing starts in Medicine Hat so far this year, compared to 61 by the end of April in 2015.
