Crown Concerned About Delays in Multiple Bank Robbery Case

May 20, 2016 | 11:18 AM

LETHBRIDGE – The Crown is expressing concerns about the lack of progress in a multiple bank robbery case.

Shaun Christopher Cornish was arrested and charged after nine banks – including one in Lethbridge – were robbed in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan between December of 2014 and January of 2015.

Friday morning in court the Crown stated that they have had concerns about delays for about six months now, and that they want to see some progress when Cornish returns to court on June 3.

During a court appearance earlier this year, Cornish’s lawyer explained that they were considering whether they wanted to move the case forward in Alberta or BC.
