Online Votes Needed for Canadian History Projects

SOUTHERN ALBERTA – Six Southern Alberta students need your help spreading the story of Canadian history.

The Young Citizens project has Grade 4 to 9 students create a video about a piece of Canadian history that interests them.

Those videos have been shared on the Canada’s History website. (http://www.canadashistory.ca/Kids/YoungCitizens.aspx) The winner with the most votes will win a trip to Ottawa to participate in a History Forum.

The six students from Lethbridge and area are:

– Iqmat Iyiola, CAPE School
  Immigration in Canada

– Kennedy Manson, Ecole Agnes Davidson School
  Frank Slide Story Explained

– Manahil Ahmed, CAPE School
  Marc Garneau

– Mmeso Ifebuzor, Milk River School
  James Naismith

– Ryker Bruised Head, Children of St. Martha Elementary School
  History of the Indian Cowboy

– Sidney Wolff, F.P. Walshe School
  Corner Gas: Canada’s Best Comedy

Voting is open on the website until July 6th.
