Taber Woman Charged in Convenience Store Robbery

LETHBRIDGE – A 37-year old Taber woman has been charged in connection with a robbery at a south side gas station earlier this month.
Around 6:21 on the morning of June 1, 2016, police were called to the London Road Esso along the 700 block of 6 Avenue South. The clerk reported that an unknown female entered the store, spoke to the clerk, then left. She returned a short time later, carried several items to the till and when it was opened she went behind the counter, struggled with the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash before taking off on foot.
The suspect was identified and arrested without incident on June 17 in Taber.
Dawn Ila Hart has been charged with one count of robbery and released on bail, with her first court appearance set for June 22.
