Jun 25, 2016 | 7:45 AM

LETHBRIDGE – Get your glitter, sparkles, sequins, and everything else rainbow coloured, because today Lethbridge will be bursting with Pride Fest activities!

The annual Pride Parade will start at 12 p.m. and proceeds from City Hall going North on Stafford Drive S to 3rd Ave S.

It will then turn west down 3rd Ave S to Galt Gardens, across from the four freshly painted rainbow crosswalks.

Family friendly festivities continue in Galt Gardens until 5 p.m.

There will be music, performances, a beer garden, kids activities, and vendors.

Pride Fest President Levi Cox said that the committee worked extra hard in creating a month jam packed with activities that offer something for everyone.

“For Lethbridge Pride Fest we are all about showing the diversity our community has and celebrating the love,” Levi said. “We like to create events for all of the community to enjoy because we all have friends and family that fall under the LGBTQ rainbow.”

In the evening Lethbridge will see its largest 18+ Pride Dance ever with “Over the Rainbow” being held at Heritage Hall.

The dance features noteworthy drag queens and local performers.

“We’re really excited for our Pride dance. We are flying in a very famous drag queen named Milk and we have local performers as well as performers from Calgary at the event so that’s a night not to miss,” Cox said.
