Taber Corn Crop on the Horizon

Jun 28, 2016 | 11:55 AM

TABER – Taber corn is expected to start hitting stands around southern Alberta in about a month.

Grower David Jensen says so far it’s looking like an average crop, and that it should be available around the last week of July.

“It was very warm in April and cooled off a bit in May, but the weather’s fine,” Jensen explained of growing conditions this year. “This heat is nice that we’re getting and going to get, corn loves heat so it’ll be good for that.”
