Moose Jaw Sweeps Weekend Series With Lethbridge Bulls

LETHBRIDGE – Kobe Portillo held the Lethbridge Bulls (22-16) scoreless for six innings to boost the Moose Jaw Miller Express (15-24) to a 10-6 victory.

Portillo allowed five hits, one walk and struck out four.

The Lethbridge Bulls were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Lethbridge Bulls led until the eighth inning, but the Moose Jaw Miller Express took the lead back on a two-run triple by Cole Distler.

Cutter McDowell racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.

Caleb Norton (3-2) took the loss for the Lethbridge Bulls. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express hammered the Lethbridge Bulls pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, seven RBIs and nine runs scored.

Moose Jaw also took the game at Spitz Stadium on Saturday by a score of 6-5.
