Libke Leads Medicine Hat Mavericks to 2-1 Victory Thanks to 10 Strikeouts

MEDICINE HAT – Jared Libke hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Libke struck out 10 batters to carry the Medicine Hat Mavericks (1-0) to a 2-1 victory over the Lethbridge Bulls at Athletic Park in 10 innings.

A walk-off single by Zac Wilson gave the Medicine Hat Mavericks the win.

Wilson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the third and tenth innings.

Mack Major ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
