LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge has been experiencing a heatwave outdoors and now New West Theatre wants to bring that spirit inside, with their latest musical-comedy.

“Heatwave,” opens Tuesday, August 2 and runs the entire month of August at the Yates Theatre.

Derek Stevenson, New West Theatre General Manager, said that the production will please all of those who enjoyed “Jukebox,” and that the comedy-review will also draw in a new crowd.

“It’s all about summer hits, everything you would listen to down at the beach or outside at a barbeque will be featured in the show.”

In the cast, AJ Baragar, Alexa Elser and Erica Hunt who most recently performed in “Jukebox,” will carry over to “Heatwave.”

The latest production also gains some New West veterans such as: Kyle Gruninger and Kathy Zaborsky and presents first-time New West Musical Theatre actors Tenaj Williams and Camille Pavlenko.
