The free event takes place Tuesday, Aug 9 at Festival Square from 6 p.m. until 8pm.

Contestants will walk off against each other and audience members are encouraged to give a donation vote to their favourite contestants

Competition is open to anyone in the community.

All funds raised will go towards the Inclusive Post-secondary education scholarships offered by the organization to students with a disability attending The University of Lethbridge or Lethbridge College.

Dave Lawson, Executive director of LACL, stressed the importance of post-secondary education for students with exceptionalities as a means of creating a stronger community.

“The pursuit of higher learning is valuable in our society. IT reasonably raises employment opportunities and definitely increases the potential for authentic relationships for students with developmental disabilities now and over their lifetime.”

Food will be also be available for purchase.
