LETHBRIDGE – A manslaughter case dating back to last August should finally start to move forward later this month.

On August 31, 2015, 47-year old Gifford George Good Dagger was found unconscious in the alley along the 900 block of 17 Street South. He was taken to the Chinook Regional Hospital with head and internal injuries, where he died the next day.

Following an investigation, 39-year old James Gregory Gurney was identified as a suspect and charged with manslaughter.

Monday morning (Aug 8), the lawyer appearing for Gurney asked for an adjournment to August 22, saying at that time they intend to hold a bail hearing and have a trial date set.
