LPS Seeking Witnesses in Alleged Case of Police Misconduct

Aug 8, 2016 | 2:22 PM

LETHBRIDGE – As part of their investigation into allegations of misconduct, Lethbridge Police are asking anyone who saw a male on Whoop-Up Drive in the early morning hours of August 3 – or the police interaction with him – to come forward.

The request comes from a Service Investigation that was launched after a post and video on Facebook and Instagam, in which a male claims a number of officers jumped and assaulted him for no reason, before letting him go.

Police have noted that several witnesses have already spoken to them, however they still want to hear from anyone who was there.

At this point police say they won’t be releasing any other information to protect the integrity of the investigation.
