Support Leaders Needed for Better Choices, Better Health Workshops

SOUTHERN ALBERTA – Alberta Health Services needs your help to run chronic disease support workshops in the Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Brooks areas.
Better Choices, Better Health is a series of six weekly workshops that help those living with on-going health conditions, like diabetes, arthritis, mental illness and Chrohn’s. It gives them tools to set goals, manage medications, deal with emotions, live healthy lives and much more.
Four-day training sessions are being offered by AHS health care professionals in all three locations, free of charge, so you can become a certified leader. Training runs over September 9, 10, 12 and 14 from 9-am to 4-pm, and you must attend all four days.
Every applicant will be assessed for suitability, and those interested are asked to pre-register with AHS Volunteer Resources.
