Police Investigating Major Jewelry Theft in Waterton

WATERTON – Pincher Creek RCMP are investigating a major jewelry and diamond theft in Waterton Lakes National Park.
 
Between Saturday (Aug. 20) and Sunday (Aug. 21), $100,000 in items were taken from the Lost Art Jewelry store in the park. Staff discovered the theft when they opened for business Monday, and contacted police right away.

While police can’t say whether the store was broken into, they noted that loose diamonds and over 100 pieces of fine jewelry were taken, including rings, necklaces and bracelets.
