Boil Water Order extended for some South County Potable Water Co-op Customers

Sep 27, 2016 | 2:05 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Customers of a portion of the County of Lethbridge Rural Water Association Co-op (CLRWA) have had a boil water order extended by Alberta Health Services (AHS). The order was issued last Friday (Sept 23) due to the possibility of contamination from the depressurization of co-op lines. An investigation is underway to ensure a permanent solution is in place before AHS lifts the order.

It is undetermined as to how long the order will remain in place. A map of the affected area is posted below and on the Lethbridge County website.

Information from AHS, including updates on the boil water order and on what to do during a boil water order can be found on the AHS website.

This order is to ensure the health and safety of co-op customers.
