Setoguchi signs with Kings

LOS ANGELES — Taber’s Devin Setoguchi is attempting an NHL comeback with the Los Angeles Kings.

Setoguchi is expected to be in the lineup for the Kings’ season opener Wednesday, Oct. 12 against his former team, the San Jose Sharks. The forward spent the 2015-2016 season with HC Davos in Switzerland, after spending training camp with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Setoguchi, 29, was selected by San Jose as the eighth overall pick in the 2005 entry draft, and was traded to Minnesota in 2011. He also spent time in Winnipeg and Calgary.

He has 127 goals and 122 assists in 471 career NHL games.
