BRANDON – The Lethbridge Hurricanes’ struggles away from the Enmax Centre continue to build, as they dropped their fifth straight game and sixth on the road, in a 6-1 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The Hurricanes managed to come out of the first period with the score even at 1-1, as Brayden Burke registered his third goal of the season on the power play. However, Brandon would score twice in the second and three more times in the third to run away with the game.

Once again the Canes were outshot, this time by a margin of 38-33.

The Hurricanes have yet to win a game outside of Lethbridge this season, with their current three game road trip seeing them outscored 15-3. Since their last win on October 12 against Victoria, the club has surrendered 26 goals and only managed eight of their own in five games.

The loss brings the Hurricanes record to 5-6-1-1.

While the Hurricanes now return home for a pair of games – where they are a much stronger 4-3 – things won’t be getting any easier for them.

First up is the WHL leading Prince George Cougars on October 28, followed by a matchup with the suddenly hot Red Deer Rebels on October 29.
