LETHBRIDGE – A trial date has been set for a 46-year old Lethbridge man in connection with an incident that led to the seizure of over 100 weapons at a north side home earlier this year.

On April 15, 2016, around 6:40 p.m., the Lethbridge Police Service responded to reports of threats and a firearms complaint at a home in the 200 block of 15 Street North. Once on scene they took one man into custody.

Police started a search of the property for public safety and found a number of weapons, prompting them to bring in the Explosive Disposal Unit and the Department of National Defence to assist in going over the scene.

The search resulted in the seizure of firearms, prohibited weapons and a small amount of drugs.

Patrick Rossetti was charged with a number of offences, including uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence. He was later released on $10,000 bail.

The one day trial, which will be heard by a judge alone, has been scheduled for January 26, 2017.
