Westminister Redevelopment Community Engagement Session

Nov 6, 2016 | 8:55 AM

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge residents living in Westminster are invited to share their thoughts on their neighbourhood at a community engagement session Monday, November 7. This come-and-go event will be held at the Westminster Community Hall (411 16th Street North) from 6-8 pm. Information gathered will be used to inform the City’s Westminster Area Redevelopment Plan project currently underway.

Residents are asked to come view the information already gathered as well as share their perspectives on the neighbourhood. This feedback will help build a plan that reflects the values of the people who live and work in Westminster.

Community consultation is the second phase of the project and will help develop a community vision for the plan. Once the vision is clearly defined, guiding principles and policies will be developed through neighbourhood workshops.

After further refinement, a draft plan will be shared publicly and feedback will be gathered in preparation for a final draft plan to present to City Council for approval.
