LETHBRIDGE – Police have charged two Lethbridge men after recovering numerous stolen firearms.

LPS conducted two search warrants, one at a north side storage locker and another at a home along the 1000 block of Elliot Road South, on Friday (Nov. 5) evening.

Three rifles were removed from the storage locker.

However, people inside the south side residence refused to exit as requested. As a result, the Tactical Team was utilized to ensure the area was safe.

On scene, police could be heard over a megaphone telling the occupants to come out with their hands on their head, saying everyone was under arrest for possession of a firearm.

After some time and negotiations, three people finally agreed to come out and were taken into custody without incident. The area opened back up around 10:08-pm, with no danger to the public.

That search resulted in one rifle, ammunition and other stolen property being recovered. Police say all four guns were stolen during a previous break and enter.
