Taber search warrant results in drug charges against woman

TABER –  A 37-year old Taber woman is facing charges after a theft complaint investigation turns up alleged drug activity.

On Monday, December 5th, Taber Police officers were investigating a series of thefts from motor vehicles which resulted in a search warrant being conducted at a home in the 5600 block of 46th Street in Taber.
 
The search turned up a safe and after police were granted legal access to the safe , they found and seized the following:

— 39 individual baggies containing approximately 1 gram of cocaine each.
— 42 individual packages containing 1.5 grams of marihuana each.
— Assorted drug related paraphernalia relating to trafficking

Street value of the drugs was about $3900.00

Arlene Sakebow is charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking cannabis marihuana. 
 
Sakebow was released with conditions by a Justice of the Peace and is scheduled to make an appearance in Taber court on Jan 3, 2017.
