LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Hurricanes captain, Tyler Wong, managed to pick up this December’s WHL Player of the Month honour.

Throughout the last month, the 20-year old right winger gained 25 points over 12 games, helping his team reach a 20-13-3-2 overall record on the season.

Wong pulled off nine multi-point performances in December. One of those included the Hurricanes latest game last Friday (Dec. 30), where he recorded five points in their 9-7 victory over the Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Cochrane native averaged 2.08 points in that same time, and also earned three first star honours. Wong currently sits seventh in the WHL scoring race with 51 points in 35 appearances.
