North side fire causes $50,000 in damage

LETHBRIDGE – A residential fire at a north side home has resulted in an estimated $50,000 in damage.
A neighbour saw smoke and flames coming from the window of a house in the 300 block of 18 Street North Thursday (Jan. 12) afternoon around 1:30, and called 911.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke coming from the living room window. Fortunately, they were able to contain the blaze to the living room and no one was injured.
An investigation has determined the fire was accidental.
