Search warrant leads to drugs, weapons charges against a Lethbridge man

LETHBRIDGE – A 31-year old Lethbridge man is facing charges after police seized drugs and weapons from a downtown apartment.
 
On Wednesday (Jan. 18), both the downtown policing unit and patrols support shift executed a search warrant at an apartment building along the 1200 block of 4 Avenue South. There they found over $8,000 in cash, 110 fentanyl pills and a small amount of oxycodone.
 
In addition, a number of weapons, including a hatchet, combat knife and machete, were also taken. The 31-year old male suspect and five others were arrested without incident
 
A short-term investigation revealed that the man had been supplying large amounts of fentanyl to drug users in Lethbridge’s downtown.
 
Eric Boyd White Man Left is now charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of oxycodone, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, as well as three counts of possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
 
White Man Left was remanded to appear in court on Thursday (Jan. 19). The five other subjects were released without any charges.
