City seeks volunteers for Westminster Advisory Committee

Jan 23, 2017 | 9:57 AM

LETHBRIDGE – If you live in north Lethbridge and have connections to the Westminster Neighborhood, you can apply to become part a new planning and advisory committe that’s being formed.

The role of the committee will be to represent local interests, and to then collaborate with city staff and technical experts.

Those who are chosen will be required to attend 8 to 10 meetings over the next 12-15 months, and will have to commit to  25-30 hours of work over duration of the project.

The Westminster Area Redevelopment Plan (WARP), was originally adopted by council more than 30 years ago, and needs revision. Part of the review now, is to gather feedback from stakeholders and other members of the community about the goals and objectives the 1985 WARP established.

If you’d like more information about the project, go to www.lethbridge.ca/warp and click on the link to the survey.
