LETHBRIGE –   One of the men involved in a standoff in west Lethbridge last Friday (Feb 10) has been granted $100 bail.   Forrest Jensen, aged 19, will be under 24-hour house arrest, with exceptions for medical appointments, court, exercise or with approved supervision.

Brian Fulljames, aged 27, the other man involved in the Dalhousie Court incident, will remain in custody. Both men return to court on Thursday, Feb 23.

Police went to a home along Dalhousie Court West around 2:00-pm last Friday to execute an arrest warrant   However, the situation turned into a standoff involving the tactical team, when one of the individuals allegedly resisted and brandished a knife.

At the time, Lethbridge Police Service Executive Officer, Kristen Harding, explained that police had reason to believe there were additional weapons in the home, which prompted calling out the tactical team.

“Both of the men remained inside the home for nearly four hours, before surrendering themselves to police without further incident,” she noted.

“No one was injured in this situation.”

Both men face charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest, while Fulljames alone has been charged with uttering threats to cause death.
