Provincial camping reservations open today

LETHBRIDGE – Reservations for those who want one of the regular campsites in a provincial park this summer, open today.
The openings are staggered, so those who have their sights set on certain areas of the province may have to wait to get their favorite spots.
Areas first to open up this morning included southern Alberta, Kananaskis Country and central Alberta. That is being followed by the northwest and northeastern parts of the province.
Campers can reserve spots up to 90 days in advance, and to make a reservation, you have to create an account, before you can add days to your list.
You can stay for a maximum of 16 consecutive nights, and reserve up to four sites.
Comfort camping reservations, which include yurts cabins and canvas tents, and opened more than a week ago and set a new record with 847 bookings.
Altogether last year, there were more than 155,000 reservations made for both regular and comfort campsites across the province.
