Local man plans to use lotto winnings to help his family

LETHBRIDGE – It was a huge holiday surprise for one local, who found out he won $283,377.60 back in December!
 
In an interview with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), David Serkin, of Lethbridge, said he had to check his ticket, for the December 23 Lotto Max draw, multiple times before realizing he won big.

“I went to the store to buy and check my tickets, and I put this ticket through the self-checker. I put it through another four or five times after that. I did not believe what I was seeing on the screen!”

Serkin plans to use his winnings to help his family out.

He purchased the winning ticket at Southview Gas King, located at 2610 16 Avenue South.
