Mobile home gutted by fire on city’s north side

LETHBRIDGE  –   Several fire crews, including an aerial unit, were called to a north side home fire just before 2:00 Saturday afternoon.

When fire crews arrived, they found a double wide mobile home fully engulfed in the Bridge Villa Trailer Park.

An officer on scene confirmed a resident of the home and several pets were able to exit the home safely and no one was injured.  The residents of surrounding mobile homes were evacuated for their immediate safety, as fire crews worked to protect adjacent structures, utilizing an aerial hose.

At least one neighboring home suffered exterior fire damage.  There was no immediate indication on what started the fire or a damage estimate.
