Farm and ranch families asked to share their lifestyles

EDMONTON –  Farmers and ranchers are wanted to share stories, educate and expand their markets as hosts for Alberta Open Farm Days, which will take place August 19 and 20 this year.

Producers and ag-tourism operators can sign up using the online registration form on the Albert Open Farms Days website.   The application deadline is May 31.

The popularity of Open Farm Days demonstrates the interest Albertans have for culinary tourism and learning more about rural life.

This year’s Open Farm Days follows a record-breaking 2016 event that included:

— 92 host farms and 26 culinary events
