LETHBRIDGE — A late rally by the Bulls made for an exciting finish, in a 7-6 loss to the Brooks Bombers at Spitz Stadium Thursday, June 22.

Trailing 6-3 with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, Bulls right fielder Nolan Handley hit a bases-loaded triple to tie the game. But in the top of the ninth, Mason Swegarden singled off Bulls reliever Dawson Moser to drive in what would prove to be the winning run.

The Bulls’ other three runs came off a Jesse Hillyard homer, his second of the year, in the sixth inning.

Following the game, Lethbridge trailed division-leading Okotoks by 1.5 games, with a 10-6 record. The Bulls host Brooks once again Friday, June 23, 7:05 at Spitz Stadium.
