Lethbridge hosting divisional tournament for Little League Intermediate

LETHBRIDGE — A team of 13-year-old Lethbridge ball players is seeking the right to represent Alberta at Nationals.

The Lethbridge AAA Intermediate Bulls are hosting the Little League Intermediate divisionals . The tournament also includes Medicine Hat and two Calgary teams. The winner will go on to Langley, B.C. for the Intermediate National Championships, where Team Canada in the Little League Intermediate World Series will be chosen.

The Lethbridge team includes several players who finished fourth at the major level in nationals last year. Intermediate teams from Lethbridge have represented Canada in 2013 and 2016.

This year’s team is led by head coach Denny Puszkar, assisted by Les McTavish, Wayne Filipenko, and Cam Cleland.
